Town Center And More Coming To Harbour View

The Harbour View area, once pastures and farm land, has emerged as a strategic residential area for commuters from both the Southside and Peninsula. This influx of new homeowners is bringing with it an emerging commercial boom.  Many new retail, medical and business establishments are under construction or have been recently completed.

One of the largest projects slated for this area is the Harbour View Town Center, developed by Landonomics Group.  This project will occupy 126 acres, between Harbour View Boulevard and I-664, with a mixed use development that is being compared to Virginia Beach’s Town Center.  The center is expected to feature a wide variety of  new businesses, retail establishments, restaurants, and more. Preliminary development has already begun on this exciting project and is anticipated to continue through 2013.

In the meantime, other new shops and conveniences  are opening in the Harbour View area at brisk pace.  Some new additions include Kohl’s, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hilton Garden Inn,  Harris Teeter grocery store, Starbucks, and a variety of new eateries and other specialty shops.
